This notice explains how Toma Recovery ("I", "me") uses personal information when you ask for recovery, contact me or use this website.

Who I am

Toma Recovery is run by Toma Cebanu, a vehicle recovery operator based in Bedford, who is the controller of your information. Contact: tomacebanu4@gmail.com, 07462 058389.

What I collect

  • What you send through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, where the vehicle is, the vehicle, what happened, where it needs to go and your message.
  • What you send by phone, WhatsApp or email, including photos of the vehicle and your location.
  • Your vehicle's details, such as make, model and registration, so I can recover the right vehicle and take it to the right place.

The "Send my location" button

If you tap it and allow it, your phone works out where you are and puts a Google Maps link into a WhatsApp message for you to send. The location goes only into that message, which you choose whether to send. This website doesn't store it or send it anywhere else.

  • To reply to you, give you a price and recover your vehicle: steps you asked for before a contract, and the contract itself (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the records tax law requires: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
  • To keep this website secure and working: my legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

I don't use your details for marketing and I don't sell them.

Who helps me

These providers handle information for me, only on my instructions:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions.
  • Resend, which delivers the form to my email inbox.
  • Afaceri Diaspora Ltd, which built and maintains this website and keeps a copy of form messages so none are lost.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) and my email provider, when you contact me that way.
  • Google, only if you choose to load the map.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. Records of jobs and payments are kept for six years, as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it or ask me to restrict it. Email tomacebanu4@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or advertising. The Google map loads only if you allow it; when it does, Google may set cookies. See the cookie notice.
